Today in room eight we were learning how to collaborate using google docs with Gerhard are ako hiko teacher. We first wrote are names on a grid and put a picture of ourselves. It was challenging because sometimes people deleted our writing.

I learned a lot on about how to collaborate on a google doc and how to use the suggesting tool.

The Zoo trip

On Tuesday the seniors of hay park school went on a trip to the zoo. We were getting on a bus that was taking us to the zoo. It was not long after we arrived at the zoo and started seeing lots of animals. We were learning about native birds so we went and saw the native birds. We saw a tui,tuatara's,kea,kereu and lots more. 

We also saw some African animals like rhinos,giraffe,lions,zebras we also saw some tigers that were sleeping. Then we some alligator searching for prey it was a fun day and I hope I could go to the Auckland Zoo.  

Matariki

Kia ora bloggers today we have been learning about Matariki what it is. Matariki is a cluster of stars that comes up in late May or early June. Matariki shows the end of winter and the Maori new year. In other countries it has a different name in Japan it is Subaru. We did a Matariki grid so we could get better at taking notes. After that we got a buddy and practiced saying are Matariki speech we record us saying it.

Chickens

In the begging of term three we got a incubator with Chicken eggs in it. We got to have them for ten days and there were 9 eggs. We also got a brooder  box for the chicks so they would have space to roam. In the brooder box there is food and water for the chicks for the chicks. On the second day we got are eggs one of the eggs hatched and the chick was a boy not long after that another one of the chicks hatched but this one had something wrong with its leg so it couldn't walk. Only two of are eggs hatched and the other seven died.

last Swimming lesson

Yesterday I went to my last swimming lesson  at Cameron pools for the year.We went to the big pools it was cold we just needed to do one lap and we just got out and we walked back to play games we had a vote we choose octopus and a world pool  octopus was hard I just got in the 2 round.I learned how to breath when you are swimming and go on your back you rock Carmen pools.

Today I did a storyboard about two brothers and one brothers tricks the other brother.

Reflection

I have been learning about Hydro power because it is a renewable energy and you can use it for energy the energy we can use it for turning on are light or for computer.

Google expedition

Yesterday a man came from Google expedition and he brought expedition kits for us.His name was mur  came he was from Australia he was really happy it was a really good experience to have google expeditions come to are school I felt sick going to all the different places thanks google expeditions for coming to are school.

Cameron pools

Today I went to my second swimming lesson at Cameron Pools.  My coach taught me how to swim we used a broad to help us it was fun we started swimming we had to keep are heads under the water we put are arms up in the air like a sword and swam

Today I did  a pmi about the toolkit day.

Today our class went to their first free swimming lessons at Cameron Pools.I learned how to dive and have cross arms we had to make them go behind are ears.Some people didn't come.The teachers tested us to see how good we were we floated on our tummy and one a there thing your awesome Cameron Pools.
